Specialist Teacher IT Tools Wiki

I wonder if specialist secondary teachers need specialist tools. Not generic tools. In many cases web 2.0 tools don't really fit. Students do high-powered tasks - HTML manipulation, photoshop, video editing, audio production. These tasks don't work in the cloud (yet). I wonder if this is one if the key differences between primary and secondary.
This is a COLLABORATIVE list intended to reflect senior subject choices. Please feel free to alter anything. Add/remove subjects.

It (currently) limited by:
  • how many subjects I can think of.
  • my limited knowledge.

A similar resource can be found here, but the idea behind this list is to populate it with subject-specific tools and apps - not generic ones. These are ways to solve particular problems that each subject teacher faces.
